Noice, should be able to get this. Currently got 1Gbps via cityfibre UK, and it costs £30 per month for unlimited usage. Never going back to Virgin media thats for sure.
I paid $180 per month for 25mbps down and 2mbps up. 1TB limit.
I moved, and now I get 1gbps down and 50mbps up for $150. No limit.
I love Canada! Yay.
I get 10gbit/s symmetrical dedicated for 777 chf / year through init7. It’s an absolutely terrific option in Switzerland by an absolutely terrific provider.
So your internet is a bit cheaper than mine, not by a huge amount, but the speed is crazy! That’s awesome!
The other ISP in my country offers 8gbps symmetrical for the same ~$140 CAD per month, but they don’t offer it where I am, because of monopolies.
You can even get 25gbps symmetrical - for the same price. They just charge 333 chf to set up instead of 111 for 10gbps, because the optics are more expensive.
I love their policy. ‘providing you with 25gbps or 10gbps or 1gbps costs us the same. So we’ll provide the max that we can, as long as you pay for the optics’ - all for a single price. No stupid speed tiering. They also have open peering - my ping is phenomenally low to most things.
I can’t wait for fiber internet at the end of this year
