I admit, first time I read that headline I was like, “WHAT? Israel adding Asbestos to their bombs now? How sinister. What’s next - radon?” It took a minute to get up to speed.

Same. Per the article, the structures being destroyed have asbestos in them from when they were built; this is the cause of it being released

Edit: I’ve never before seen a comment like the reply to mine here below that was so clearly made by an AI bot

Asbestos is a massive curse that the world should never have been put into their buildings. There are tons of buildings all over the world that still have asbestos in them.

It has great material properties aside from, you know, destroying people’s lungs. So I can understand why the world was eager to use it before understanding the risks.

Well, my second thought was, “that’s pretty short-sighted if you’re gonna Zionist all over the destroyed area… why would you introduce a carcinogen when…” and by then it clicked. The zionists don’t want carcinogens either, but explosively spreading existing asbestos is the price they’re willing to pay for genocide.

This is the sort of collateral damage nobody talks about. Even for these cheering at the bombing of terrorists, you still have to take into account the consequences of your actions, bombing everything to dust has a price.

The people claiming to cheer at bombing terrorists cheer at murdering brown people. The entire “war on terror” narrative has been a veil and continues to be a veil for white supremacists to enjoy murdering brown people.

Israel also was heavily backing the war in Iraq. While they weren’t the sole or even main factor behind it, the resulting nearly 1 million Iraqi deaths the complete destruction of the country, and the subsequent Syrian Civil War (which was a direct consequence of the Iraq war) really destabilized the region big time.

Israel wants their neighbors to be as unstable as possible because stable and prosperous Arab nations piss them off.

Jordan is practically their ally yet they speak of Jordanians like they are foaming at the mouth to kill israelis when every Jordanian/Israeli skirmish was provoked very blatantly by Israel.

I simply cannot believe just how monstrous a people can be. They are entirely on par with the Nazis. In some cases even worse.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist at all, and there’s more than enough evil shit with irrefutable evidence that puts Zionists on par with the Nazis already but it just makes sense at this point that they were the ones pulling the strings to make 9/11 happen.

I do not believe that they were behind 9/11. Despite what some people say, the CIA and FBI and other agencies were aware something was going down. The fact that 9/11 happened without a hitch from the authorities is a monumental intelligence failure that will never be forgotten by any intelligence agency ever.

Shortly after 9/11 there were claims that Muslims were singing and dancing in the streets to celebrate. But this never happened. Even people in Iran held vigils for the people who died. The footage shown of Arabs celebrating were often of people celebrating sports victories by their preferred football (soccer) or other events.

The only people confirmed to have been dancing to celebrate the 9/11 attacks were… mossad agents. But I believe their disgusting joy can be explained by the fact that the US was now going to do genocide level events on Muslims in retaliation.

I mean Churchill cranked open his favorite (and most expensive) bottle of booze after Pearl Harbor happened and after Hitler idiotically declared war on the US. He wasn’t happy that the US lost a fuckload of people in the attack. He was happy that now the US is forced to join the UK in full force.

Just simply asking the question of who gained the most from the aftermath of 9/11.

And looking at their current behaviour. There’s absolutely no evil act they won’t commit.

Well, being antisemitic and supporting Israel can go hand in hand. Be it because they share the idea of ethnically homogenous nations, because they want to send the Jews to live somewhere else, or because they are happy for Israel to murder Arabs for them.

Some of the greatest supporters of Zionism were antisemites, like Lord Balfur.

If you are in a building anywhere in the world that was built before the 70’s/80’s, there is a very high chance it’s got asbestos in it. They used it for everything because it’s cheap and durable and has useful properties. Similar to things like lead paint.

IIRC, the only problem with asbestos is when you tear up/demolish a building. Injested asbestos particles cause the health problems. If the building doesn’t suffer any damage, the asbestos remains inert and doesn’t cause any harm.

That is mostly true—many of the products that contain it count as having it encapsulated, so you can leave asbestos tile on a slab and cover it with another material. However if you go to demo the tile, and start hitting it with hammer drills etc. as a frangible material it can become aerosolized and be inhaled in the lungs, where you get the horrible health effects, so you have to follow remediation protocols to do that. Obviously hitting those types of materials with explosives is going to virtually guarantee try st it gets airborne.

That said there were many applications of asbestos, like old wrapped pipe insulation for instance, where the asbestos is already in a spun (think like fiberglass or rock wool) format, and those types of things need to be remediated just for existing as they are hazardous and can leach particles into your environment easily.

At one point, it was thought to be very safe because of its fire resistance, treated as a miracle material. many buildings throughout the world were made with asbestos, and many still exists.

for the most part it is only harmful when disturbed, either when mining and processing, or when destroyed.

And even then, it would likely have to be repeated occupational exposure to cause issues, not a one-off dust event.

Russia still is the largest exporter of asbestos in the world and is still used in large parts of the world

      https://www.asbestos.com/mesothelioma/worldwide/

Edit: have to add, that I was completely flabbergasted by that, because I thought asbestos was completely illegal like FCKW (sorry, not English native speaker, seems the abbreviation is CFC - the stuff we put into refrigerators before we figured it produces an ozone hole)
Russia mining companies say though, that their asbestos is safe and it’s just western propaganda to keep them out of business)

I think you’ll be surprised at how much asbestos is still used worldwide, including in the US. We’re not using it as wall and ceiling insulation anymore, but it’s still used for things like pipes and vinyl floor tiles.
