Australia has rejected far-right provocateur Candace Owens’ visa application ahead of a planned national speaking tour, with the immigration minister, Tony Burke, saying she had the “capacity to incite discord”.

The US conservative influencer and podcast host, who has advanced conspiracy theories and antisemitic rhetoric including minimising Nazi medical experiments in concentration camps, will be blocked from coming to Australia after the federal government voiced alarm about her record.

“From downplaying the impact of the Holocaust with comments about [notorious Nazi doctor Josef] Mengele through to claims that Muslims started slavery, Candace Owens has the capacity to incite discord in almost every direction,” Burke said on Sunday.

I live in NZ. At lockdown protests people had Trump flags and were saying we were violating their first amendment… So much stupidity

Now imagine knowing these people are your neighbor and no matter how nice calm and civil you engage with them they’d never understand the monster they are about to vote for.

          It is simple maths.

Think of how stupid the average person is.

Statistically, mathematically, incontravertably, if that is a bell distribution, then half of the people are even stupider than that!

That’s not quite true. A bell curve will put a ton of people right at the average, or within one standard deviation.

Does this one pretend to be gung ho Christian? And missed the whole origin story of the Jews?

And I wonder how she feels about slavery in the US.

      we can’t export our crazies.

You don’t have to. I have seen the craziest things being translated into Arabic and shared. Shame too many people in the Arab World still think the US is filled with educated and intelligent people, so your conspiracy theories get translated and spread as if some exclusive knowledge

Vaccine denial, climate change denial, and so on… All the conspiracies about COVID, those got translated and shared too. So glad many Arab countries took the mandatory vaccination route for COVID, the people can’t be trusted to take care of themselves. Of course the vaccines being mandatory convinced the conspiracy theorists of the conspiracies they were translating and spreading. The most frightening hearing my father and others mentioning doctors who can fake your COVID vaccination record🤦‍♂️

Yep. Unfortunately, the US is currently doing a Cecil Kelly and the right is a vat of plutonium slurry just shy of a criticality.

Unrelated but did you know who has the longest unbroken record of chattel slavery?

Korea. Bet you didn’t expect that.

    1600 years.
