Wow is this new over there? Here in Australia we have strongly worded warnings about cancer and death along with photographs of fucked up looking feet from associated illnesses and people dying in hospital beds with breathing masks and tubes everywhere and fucked up looking lungs from autopsies of smokers.
Those sorts of warnings / graphic images are already present on the cigarette packaging in Canada. What’s new is that now the warnings will also be printed directly on each individual cigarette!
Serves me right for commenting something based on the title and not reading the link linked article. It’s even right there in the thumbnail
And every smoker already knows that cigarettes have lots of negative health effects but still smoke anyways because they like it and are willing to gamble. So I wonder what’s the point in this?
I think they’re saying they will put the warnings on individual cigarettes now. Not just the box
Whats the ink made out of? Because I’d imagine they’re adding more carcinogens considering you light that on fire. Which is kinda funny to me.
The phrases will appear by the filter <…>
Are all filters white in Canada? I thought those were the tips. Just had to zoom in to see it clear on mobile.
No idea, not a Canadian myself, but filters have variary of colors where I live depending on the brand.
“Never knows best”
Every smoker I know smokes rez cigarettes. Who can afford the white market ones?
