Thanks. Ategon left Vacant initially after adding me as a mod since there was a reported bug with reports not always properly federating, but I haven’t noticed any issues in the last 6 months.
I’m still active and not going anywhere.

They do provide access to a runner for actions, but you need to request access to it.

In context of the comment, comparing it against revenue makes more sense than profit, since that’s what investors care about as that’s what grows stock value. Profit is what bonuses are based on when we are talking about these trillion-dollar corporations. So if we want to “teach” the investors, revenue is the target.

Imagine if they make a big revenue but still operated in the negative does that mean they are immune from any repercussions because they made no profit? That is delusional. You always calculate fines against revenue.

Once the company reach certain level of annual turnover it must implement A-Z security measures or be fined out of existence would be great. I even go as far as making it personal liability for upper management if they deliberately try to circumvent those requirements.

BrikoX@lemmy.zipOPto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you know any independent written news sources?English3·5 months agoI specified written. Independent news commentators are everywhere since video format is still a profitable model, but they all rely on written news sources or random social media posts.

The thing is that nobody can realistically offer those prices. You have to sell the hardware at a loss and have alternative revenue source to subsidize it. That’s what Microsoft did with Xbox and what Valve did with Steam Deck.

Another AI project that will probably be dead in a few months. Also open core not open source as many of the features are not available via self-hosted version.
Self-hosted version which source is available and hosted-version which is not public, are not the same. Or at the very least, planned to not be the same by your own admission as you talked publically about planning on adding paid-only features to hosted version.
Take out “AI features” and you are left with nothing, so yeah, AI project… It also relies on proprietary AI models that you don’t own, so it can stop working at any point and that would be out of your control.
