Not that I disagree with the points, but this sure feels cringey.
Today I saw a group of Trump advocates waving flags and whatnot on a walkway over a highway and as I was about to share 1 of my 10 fingers with them I saw that they had kids there waving some of their Trump flags and paused. It feels uncomfortable seeing little kids engage in passionate advocacy for things they have no real experience with, and this video gives similar vibes.

An interesting thought that makes me ask a few questions.
How much of that dwarf planet would be in scope to return? I guess my completely ignorant suspicion is that it would be a small volume of highly valuable minerals, or minerals destined for space anyway.
Also, what about the mass we are moving off world today? Have all of our satellites and rockets and other space bound craft resulted in any measurable change to earths place in the solar system? I would imagine some leave only temporarily, but how much mass do we permanently shed?
Honestly this is where my headspace is at. I see all the memes and jokes and they just make me sadder.
Man I’m sure there is some culture I could have been raised in that would have resulted in me finding that appealing and all…. But I would probably vomit if I drank any of that.

Ever since reading about her at a table with Putin and Flynn at a Russian state propaganda outlets fundraiser during the initial Trump election, and her subsequently getting significant boosts and support from Russia during the 2016 election….
I just can’t trust her. Even if she was just getting played for a fool by the company she kept, that’s a level of dangerously ignorant that isn’t appropriate in a political leader in my opinion. That’s giving her significant benefit of the doubt, the worse case is that she knew exactly what she was doing.

I once got screwed by my mortgage provider and was helpless. I submitted a complaint to the CFPB and they contacted my mortgage provider and made them make things right. That directly translated to significant money back in my pocket.

That’s an awfully misleading situation. They state that her boyfriend’s gunshot caused her death, which I think most people would reasonably interpret to mean that her boyfriend shot her in the moment, but what they really mean is that if he hadn’t opened fire on police officers entering their home without prior warning, they wouldn’t have returned fire and killed her.
It being open source helps because we can confirm it’s not being mishandled, but it’s generally arbitrary to enforce password max lengths beyond avoiding malicious bandwidth or compute usage in extreme cases.
This is my biggest pet peeve. Password policies are largely mired in inaccurate conventional wisdom, even though we have good guidance docs from NIST on this.
Frustrating poor policy configs aside, this max length is a huge red flag, basically they are admitting that they store your password in plan text and aren’t hashing like they should be.
If a company tells you your password has a maximum length, they are untrustable with anything important.
