Nothing says “reconciliation” like literally dumping trash on First Nations reservation land.

    I have never been more disenfranchised by our “proud nation” than I am now, knowing that the harmony of the treaties I was taught in the 90s as a child were outright lies. Propaganda to keep compassion out of the way

    I did a bit of digging. This landfill is getting the Cheam some cash and the land is going to be used by them after it’s reclaimed (or whatever the proper word is, I forget).

    I do not see anything in my quick search that even hints that there is something nefarious about this landfill. Well , beyond the standard nefariousness of all landfills.

    As I see it, this post is nothing but your standard rage bait.

    What’s the context? Is this a new/proposed landfill? Where do the people of Cheam currently dispose of their refuse?
