Like, i get the complaints about minimum wage and expected hours for entry level positions…but if you’re only prospects are making nothing higher than minimum wage for 30 years, and working 90 hours a week then the problem is clearly you
Not everyone gets to move up. There are less jobs at each pay level as you go up the scale. So telling people it’s definitely a personal problem is ridiculous. Especially when advancement is so heavily tied to networking instead of merit. We need to treat all jobs with dignity because the truth is nobody is going to do well in their workspace if the trash is allowed to rot in place and office supplies aren’t restocked regularly.
honestly not everyone even wants to move up, ill gladly take a simple job if im paid enough to live and have enough free time and money to do the things that i really enjoy
its too bad that its always expected to strive to move up and take on bigger fish, when im happy where i am task wise
My most fulfilling job ever was only three dollars over the minimum. I actually would work that job for the rest of my life, or at least for a very long time, if it was affordable.

Or maybe it’s the education system, or health care system, or
Considering the guy you responded to doesn’t know the difference between “you’re” and “your”, I’m guessing that’s a bingo.
