2027: Bard finally ends service, Google Mobile Co-Pilot is rebranded to Messages Co-Pilot and is integrated into the Google Messages app for some reason so you have to basically text it for help
2029: Google Assistant is relaunched with new technology and Messages Co-Pilot now only responds to tell you to use Google Assistant insteadGoogle will sue this comment for leaking the internal schedule of releases

For communities outside programming.dev the community mods would need to request that the bot gets added for it to be usable since it functions on a whitelist due to bot rules in various instances

This is still my favorite list of google products.
Pixel Pass was a program that allowed users to pay a monthly charge for their Pixel phone and upgrade immediately after two years. It was almost 2 years old.

They really are responsible for the enshittification of the web. So many great ideas that might have actually become something special if they hadn’t been bought, and subsequently shut down by Google.
From what I have heard before its more like google encourages “innovation” for promotions. This leads to a lot of people creating half baked ideas in order to get noticed for a promotion. Then after they are promoted and leave the team no one cares enough to keep it going and they just quit after it gets too hard.
Someone needs to rewrite the paperclip story but with Google being the creator and the objective to show ads
