On a whim, I decided to participate in #AdventOfCode for the first time! I just completed Day 1 (using #RStats, of course)!
Is it that time of year again? Time flies!
For the past three years I’ve faithfully started on December first, but I always have to give it up after a couple days, because it just takes up way too much time. Right now I’m already two months behind for my Bachelor and I really need to finish that before summer.
So I’ll be skipping this year.
Username almost checks out :) I found it tough to finish as well last year, not sure I’ll try much this year.
The thing that irritated me was the whiplash from part 1 to part 2. You solve part one in a sensible way, and then it turns out that part 2 requires something entirely unrelated.
I get requirements whiplash at work already, don’t need it in my personal time as well!!
