“I will be telling Bibi [Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu] to finish the job once and for all with these butchers Hamas. They’re terrorists. They’re massacring innocent people. They would wipe every Jew off the globe if they could,” Ron DeSantis, the Florida governor, said. Haley, a former ambassador to the United Nations, was equally forthright. “The first thing I said to him when it happened was, ‘finish them’.

It’s upsetting that he’s yet again the obvious choice among a field of only terrible choices. The only other option to even have a chance of avoiding several calamities is revolution, and that’s also a roll of the dice because who knows who what will emerge from that chaos.

So… Are you unironically trying to tell me that every Palestinian is a Hamas terrorist? That’s a pretty extreme position to take, my guy, and it’s also the only way to reconcile what was quoted in the article with your editorialized headline.

You’re train of thought is the reason 420 children are getting blown up indiscriminately everyday. I don’t know how your conscious let’s you justify murdering hundreds of children everyday just to “fight Hamas” but you are the problem my friend.

Whoosh. They are pointing out an implication you made editorializing and now you’re getting indignant over your own implied position.

Edit: Since edited, the original editorialized headline read, “Republicans support genocide of Palestinians,” or something similar, when the quotes were regarding Hamas. Op was conflating the two when they changed the headline.

The quotes you quoted were talking specifically about Hamas being wiped out. The headline says Palestinians. The two are not mutually exclusive. That’s everyone’s issue. It’s a clearly sensationalized headline meant to provoke this type of reaction.

In defense of Biden, there is a huge history with Israel that makes pulling support from Israel much more complicated. One issue is the fact that the US makes a promise to its allies to aide them in case they are attacked. Reneging on such a promise the first time it is called upon is a bad signal to other allies. Another issue is that if the alliance is broken, Israel is in real danger from its neighbours. Finally, from a political point of view even Democratic voters are strongly divided on this topic.

Not saying that I agree with his policy, but he has very little wiggle room, and we should not expect miracles.

I truly don’t understand why the US has a hard-on for Israel. I say end all aid to Israel and stop selling weapons to anywhere in the middle east.

Israel can either make friends with their neighbors, or they can’t.

Military base in the middle east. American money is super fake and they need oil to be coupled to it so people need to use it. This is the petro dollar.

If any country tries to escape the grasp of the petro dollar their governments needs to be replaced immediately and America will WMD 9/11 their way in to kill them.

Both parties are controlled by people who are very happy to have Israel under their thumb and will happily raze Palestine and Palestinians to keep that control.

I don’t think it’s about having Israel under their thumb, but more likely it’s their donors. I know it’s not politically correct to talk about rich Jews, but there really are so many rich Jews who make it their lifes mission to influence a pro Israel US policy, and at the end of the day it’s money that moves the capitalist US political system on both sides of the party.

An article I read recently it may be a case of dog wagging the tail, but it’s long enough to not remember details. It’s hard to vouch for veracity off most stuff now and I was just reading in bed so I don’t even remember the source but it’s interesting mind taffy. I’m not apt to dwell on it but will probably notice if similar articles come across my radar.
