I don’t like this but it seems like it is an accurate application of law (IANAL), right?
The right place to fix this is in the company’s policies and in the laws in the first place.
Of course, making those company policies more clear and available is important too. Even by TOS standards, I can’t imagine many people have read it for their car.
Agreed. The letter of the law vs the spirt of the law. So legal but not right
People shouldn’t have to not use or rip out their infotainment systems to have privacy. The automakers know that people are just going to take the path of least resistance and know that people aren’t going to read the fine print
I know for Android you can turn off text messages access for individual Bluetooth devices. That does provide a way to use it with the only lost feature being receiving and replying to text messages while you’re driving.
