But - as someone who was on reddit back in the oughts, you should appreciate the fuck out of this community while it lasts. Something will inevitably fuck it all up, and we’ll all have to move on again.

Lemmy does feels like what Reddit was 10-12 years ago. Smaller communities but great threads and discussions.

I made a post 2 days ago that even contained links to lemmy.ml and join-lemmy.org and it wasn’t removed … yet.
Maybe also depends on community (are mods removing it manually?) or other account-specific factors (more chance of removal if your account is already “suspicious”?)
It’s funny because the app o use for Lemmy has reddit styled ads 😭 I hate it so much (I’m using boost)

If you were like me and didn’t know about the double slider; if you drag the comment left, the first symbol is to collapse to parent, if you keep dragging a bit further, it goes to reply. Hope that helps!

Boost’s ads are mostly there to support the developer, but a one time purchase ($5 irrc) absolutely makes them go away.
