Was shocking to me, outside of the US, that they would ride on horses and whip people. It’s like a sick fantasy.

Honestly it is not shocking at all, US history is literary a description of torture and murder methods.

FTFY. I wouldn’t be surprised if a study came out showing that more than 10% of Americans legitimately fantasize about and hope for the opportunity to torture and kill specific groups of people. If that group is illegal immigrants, I would believe closer to 25% because of how indoctrinated into supporting fascism so many of us are. It’s purely speculation, but I’ve lived in the US for almost 30 years, so I’m not completely talking out of my ass. I don’t remember much before 9/11, so idk whether it’s always been like this or if it’s ramped up significantly in the past 20 years, but there’s a lot of fearful hate in a lot of hearts here.
