Almost sounds like a subtle burn.
“There will be no competition with Starfield, because this game is going to be good.”
the best possible science fiction universe
So it’s gonna be Star Wars (pre-Disney) and Star Trek and Stargate (minus Universe) and Farscape and Firefly and Cowboy Bebop and BSG and Doctor Who and Time Cop and The Expanse and Alien and Aliens and Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Outer Limits and X-Files and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and The Twilight Zone and Futurama?
Cool, can’t wait to play it.
I came
At The Expanse, or did you hold on until Hitchhikers? 🤓
It was like a PDC shooting down a swarm of missles. That sexy.
Unf. SO hot. 🥹🫠⛲

That’s a massive (if not outright impossible) ask to have “the best possible sci-fi universe.”

Not trying to compete with Starfield probably means smaller playspace, less NPCs/Quests/Items etc, and lower graphical fidelity. Which is fine.
Pretty sure “not competing with Starfield” was a “bless your heart” sort of comment. Even Star Citizen is better than Starfield, and that’s a decade-long geek-evangelist cash scam. 🤷🏼♂️
Not competing with Starfield is like saying you’re not competing against a game from 2002.
Games from 2002:
And Bethesda has been stripping everything out from thier games that made Morrowind great ever since.

I would believe this if it was Drew Karpyshyn. Since it’s Mac Walters, I assume we will get all the worst of Mass Effect 2 and 3 without any of the superb world building and universe set up by Mass Effect 1.
