I do on my own pc’s, because they’re my devices. These are computers, root is part of managing things. This push away from root is Google trying to control our devices. Root defines whether it’s my device or it’s controlled by Google. I guess you want devices controlled by Google.

All you’re doing is opening yourself to his security vulnerabilities with root. Desktops are entirely different then phones. Everything you mentioned does not require root.
