minus-squaresmitten@lemmy.blahaj.zonelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up24·11 months agoTbf the LEGO movie was pretty good. I’m willing to give a minecraft movie a chance, won’t be happy if it’s shit though.
minus-squareBmeBenji@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up15·11 months agoThe lego movie was good because it wasn’t about the legos though. It used legos as a medium for telling a really heartfelt story about a father and son. If they do that with Minecraft, fantastic. I’m just not expecting it in the slightest.
minus-squarefilcuk@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up7·11 months agoIt also used nothing but lego pieces and had overall amazing animation, complete with the limited movement of lego figures accounted for.

minus-squarefsxylo@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·11 months agoAlso because a lot of us played with Legos as kids and the movie properly captured the nostalgic feeling of playing with Legos.
minus-squaretuoret@sopuli.xyzlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·11 months agoThere are already people feeling nostalgic for Minecraft, more so by the time this movie comes out.
minus-squareBmeBenji@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoSure, and yeah some people are nostalgic for Minecraft, but “The LEGO Movie except it’s Minecraft” is a lousy idea for a movie
