yeah, what would have been an immediate purchase is now on hold until it’s fixed (highly unlikely), really cheap, or I play it on some future console.
they know the performance profile of the devices they’re building for, so why not just build the game appropriately, even if it means cutting back on some features? an action RPG where the fps drops into the 20s during fights is definitely disappointing.
Yeah they know the performance profile they’re building for, but it’s not worth hindering the game for that. It’s the downside of consoles, who’s generations last for about 6 years. Half way through they get long in the tooth compared to PC which you can incrementally upgrade.
