At real Krispy Kreme stores, they make the donuts on this really cool conveyor belt right in front of you. Typically they give you a free donut when you walk in the door right off the conveyor belt nice and hot before the glaze has even cooled. It’s absolutely amazing.
I heard that, at least some, donuts & pastries are not meant to be eaten warm because the warmed fats/oils make for an unpleasant texture (or mouth feel, s’il vous plaît)
KK though are pretty damn nice when fresh, or even microwaved for a few seconds
Ooh, I can buy Krispy Kreme again!
Oh, wait, they’re only “hot and fresh” at the beginning of the day. :(

Friend, you haven’t lived until you’ve had a fresh hot donut.
