Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has insisted there will be no permanent ceasefire in Gaza until Hamas’s military and governing capabilities are destroyed and all hostages are released. His statement comes after US President Joe Biden announced Israel had proposed a three-stage plan to Hamas aimed at reaching a permanent ceasefire. A senior Hamas politician has told the BBC it “will go for this deal” if Israel does. The negotiations come as fighting continues in Rafah, with reports of Israeli air strikes on Saturday in the city on Egypt’s border with Gaza. There is no guarantee that the public pressure by Mr Biden on both Israel and Hamas to accept the plan will result in a deal.

The destruction of Hamas military and governing capabilities, [and] the freeing of all hostages.

This is the same as the terms on Oct. 8. What world does anyone think that Israel will leave while an armed Hamas is still holding hostages and running Gaza?

Fucking read that. Netanyahu isn’t fucking interested in the hostages, only with wanton destruction of Palestine. When the fuck are you people going to open your fucking eyes?? Does all of the civilian population of Gaza need to be fucking wiped out before you people will admit that what’s fucking happening is unacceptable.

Where did you get destruction of Palestine from that one?

The core part of the article is that he won’t order it to stop until opinion polls say its best for him.

Still fucking wrong, no need to add your own beliefs into it.

This is your regularly scheduled reminder that Israel actively funds Hamas, and helped them defeat their domestic opposition.

Netanyahu has the option of a more peaceful partner, but he didn’t want that. He wanted the more violent people in charge, and as far as I know, is still helping them stay in power. The whole theater where he’s concerned about what happens to the hostages is a whole heap of bullshit.

Here’s a video of one of his allies trying to visit an Israeli hospital, and a family member and a doctor who just spent time dealing with wounded or dying people because of their policies screaming at her to get the fuck out. Which she does, not looking at all upset by the carnage or their reaction, just kind of inconvenienced.

Most don’t have so much of an issue with that.

They DO have an issue with genocide and his attempting exterminate all Palestinians
