They were asking people to come in anyway. They don’t care. I took the test for my own legal protection from my employer.

That’s what I paid last month at Walgreens for a kit with 2 tests.
I thought they were still free so it was quite the sticker shock. I went in for supplies thinking I could afford $40 this month and ended up spending $65.
If I didn’t NEED the test for work I would have just not bothered at that price. When you live check-to-check stuff like this matters.
This is how it was done where I worked. If you asked for ashes, we just went and scooped out an appropriate amount of ash.
Sometimes the animal was still just sitting in the burn pile (we only burned on certain days). Also the ‘cremation’ furnace was just a modified 50gal drum. So you had to cut up any of the larger dogs. Small animals (kittens or anything smaller than a regular sized cat) we just threw in the dumpster.
As you can imagine, that job sucked.
Complementary cat toy
Everybody talking about free vs paid but nobody linking to the good ones of either…
Penny Racers were the shit.
I still have the one I got in probably '82/83. Black semi tractor with a rotating spoiler instead of a trailer and that’s where you could clip a penny to make it do tricks. That thing got a lifetime of use and abuse and it still works great.
How long does it take you to die?
Women are so cute and adorable to see
I’m noticing a pattern right away. Almost as if this has no bearing on the user
I’m not sure those two things are mutually exclusive
I’m in a similar situation. Have tried to get where you’re at, but have been quoted in the $30,000 price range. There is no insurance that covers any of that cost, and they all want payment up front.
Any suggestions?
Ignoring the snark in your comment…
I assume you take issue with UBI?
Would you feel different if we ‘required service’ for UBI? For example, some countries have mandatory military service. If we nationalize these giant corporations, we could make working there a way to qualify for UBI.
Do you think UBI is just taking money from the average person and giving it to lazy people who do nothing? Or do you enjoy the separation of the rich while the rest of us struggle for scraps? Do you understand that the UBI would apply to you as well?
Or am I missing deeper thoughts given to your comment?
How would there be thousands? There aren’t thousands of nations, and everyone would still use Google.
If you break it up, that’s how you get thousands of shitty versions.
Maybe some countries might disable Google if it was owned by the US, but I have a feeling those countries already have their own issues with Google as it stands now.
I just think if the monopolistic corporations are too big and too essential to take down, then nationalization is a solution with many more positive traits than negative.
Don’t ‘break it up’, nationalize it, and do the same with all these other giant corporations.
Profits could support UBI instead of encouraging billionaires.
I think what they may be trying to say is that the majority of Trump supporters are not the rabid followers. This is why they are so dangerous. The majority of his support is not the crazy people you see on TV. They are your friends, family and coworkers, your neighbors, people you know.
Trump is selling a solution to the political corruption that nearly EVERYONE is sick of. This is what makes him popular. The people voting for him will tolerate non-direct racism but they aren’t choosing that side because of it. What you hear about from the media is the crazy people that make good stories.
And yes, Trump brings along a con-crew with their own agenda who are just as corrupt as those that Trump complains about. They’ve been scheming long before Trump, he’s just the current tool.
I once said that children who steal can be rehabilitated or taught to be productive members of society.
Downvoted to oblivion while everyone else celebrated the death of 3 kids because “all thieves deserve to die”.
Working on an 86 RV and hating posi drive. I swear they were designed to strip.
Also no mention of Spider drive that everyone insists is a torx
In my experience, people tend to not want things that don’t benefit them directly.
If they don’t use the bike lanes they don’t want them to take up what could be a car lane they would use.
I subscribed to all sorts of newsletters, and at least one was dinosaur specific. I would also write professors at local colleges with questions and usually get a response.
Also worked at the library and could order just about any book available. At that point most libraries would order books if they didn’t have them already.
But mostly newsletters and science journals until BBS became more common and user friendly when we first started having available computers.
I love when they quote how many ‘pounds of marijuana’ they got when they are weighing the growing medium, the full plant, seedlings, clones, etc .
