  • If you’re also bitter about it, don’t buy wireless earbuds from the phone brands. Samsung, Apple, etc.

Admittedly it’s not a big thing, but I don’t think we should directly financially reward the same people who took the aux port from us.

Sennheiser is good but sometimes at bit more spendy. I like Jabra Elite 8 Actives, for dust/dirt/sweat resistance. Maybe the sound isn’t quite as nice, but I’m fine with it. And Jabra isn’t a company that took the aux port out of our phones.

  • To leave the US isn’t as easy in itself…to leave, and sever all financial ties, even moreso. I think you must renounce your US citizenship to stop paying income taxes. $2400 + any exit fees, for those with a little more built-up wealth.

Where to go, where to land, is another big question. Nerds with their remote working jobs can go anywhere, work from anywhere, and get their money. I am a blue collar laborer. Pros & cons to that, but it does physically limit where one can go & make a halfway successful, nice living.

I do believe the US is in decline. This could be a Rome type situation, where it is in decline for centuries. When you’re at the top, there’s a long way to fall. It might be best to position yourself accordingly, and not make any rash decisions.

  • Funny, but also not. Just Googled because I couldn’t remember:

“According to the Institute of Medicine, physician’s illegible notes lead to approximately 7,000 deaths annually.”

Seems unreal. Even if it was half that…that’s a lot of people. If I was getting prescribed drugs, I want it LEGIBLE. Typed up would be great. I just don’t trust that shit, and neither should any of you.

  • I call bullshit on the claim it’s “because of how bullying cases were handled”. Looks pretty straightforward, racist AF to me.

And even if that were true, or more likely he was a racist dickhead, either way: if he had such a big problem, if he wanted to protest…you don’t have to publicly cross the stage at graduation. Not that he’s smart enough to reason this out. But crossing the stage is a privilege, it is public recognition, it is a community event. The graduate need not be compelled to participate; she could have received her diploma in the mail (like most do, anyway) & stayed home.

Although judging by the girl’s reaction, her father was acting off-the-cuff, alone, and without her knowledge. I’m hoping that’s the case. Racism is fucking stupid.
