I just checked. The comment section of that video really is nothing but anti-Semitic comments, with a Kirby coat of paint. Enjoy, I guess? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2bEZQ00OOxY
Couple things.
I think that only applies if you can make an argument that the two characters are distinct. Your Mickey/Steamboat Willie example is good because they are distinct (slightly different looks, and different names). Another good example is Sherlock Holmes. There was a big lawsuit where the current rights holders tried to argue that the later works are still under copyright just because Sherlock has emotions, and he didn’t in the earlier stories. I don’t remember how the suit turned out though.
In the context of the article, they’re talking about the fact that news outlets aren’t getting enough ad revenue to sustain themselves, and people don’t really buy classifieds in papers anymore.
Do both. Then the US is a spider. Or maybe a funky crab?
Saving this for later, as I want to hear responses as well.
Dang… Wild to see how Pokemon have changed since prehistoric times… I never knew Blatoise used to have more cannons. I guess their Mega Evolution makes even more sense now, and it’ll probably end up being permanent eventually.
This makes me wildly uncomfortable… His jawbone is made of rubber :P
In Unix shell scripts 1 is false, so there’s that
That’s Bebop, my dude, not Donotello /s (Edit: Changing :P to /s, for clarity)
Update: Just tried with my Nintendo Switch Pro controller. It works, so the support is there, but it was a little janky. Button mapping didn’t show the button names, just “?”, but an Xbox or Playstation controller may work better. Movement was also janky, but that’s probably because I was using Bluetooth.
No idea. I’ve never used a controller on mobile for anything, sorry :(
Dang, that reminds me. I gotta update my wishlist. There’s a set of toe socks I’ve been meaning to try out…
Honestly, I’ve been enjoying playing Dead Cells. I’ll probably also play Hades when it gets here.
I’ll be honest though, Kevin Hart as Wyndle? Absolutely inspired.
This movie almost ruined my relationship with my then girlfriend/now wife. I saw it and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. So I super recommended it to her and she… Did not agree :P It’s a very weird movie though, so I get it.
Said “shows”, so I assumed the animated one
I think the point is that when a new movie is made, many people put them together so that one informs the other, in the same way that the first half of a movie informs the second half.
it’s relatively easy to imagine a movie that starts great, but the second half introduces a major twist that makes the first half seem dumb.
For sequels/prequels we have the ability to just say “Well that one isn’t canon”, in a way we can’t for a self contained movie. But some people (including me) have a hard time with that, because it seems so arbitrary. The world is no longer something I am experiencing and enjoying, now it is something I am controlling and curating, which hurts immersion.
This might be heresy, but I feel like saying that “science isn’t truth, it’s the search for truth”, and “if you disagree it’s not a disagreement, you’re just wrong” is internally inconsistent.
