Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Are there any green alternatives to asphalt in development?English1·2 years agoNetherlands and Australia use brick in places where we want cars to slow down. Drivers automatically slow their speeds on brick roads. They’re fine to cycle on.

Lemmy.world is being attached by DDOS for a few hours every day and they have to refuse all traffic during this period while they wait for the attack to end or patch the vulerability. The attackers keep hitting new vulnerabilities so this could go on for a while.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Update: Pushing back against the wave of bot accounts on LemmyEnglish3·2 years agoI’m thinking of making inactive accounts so I can create communities on other instances. I wanna make an old trek community on the Star Trek instance, but I wanna moderate it from this instance. So I would make an account, make the community, and transfer ownership.
I can’t see any history discussing the change before today, but the posts from before today also seem to be more inclusivity-minded than this one. Maybe it’s just a huge oversight and they forgor. But it’s definitely not a nice look. The new rules also say you’re not allowed to report content for things that aren’t a violation of the terms of service. So if you report a content for being racist, that’s against the rules.
