Nature is oppressive, so are billionaires. Working together helps overcome that, both when combatting nature and the asset class

I’m not sure about higher ups, but it would surprise me if they were disproportionately pro-trump
You’re literally here talking about them talking about her.

But for other readers, the og Linkbuds are hands down the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn, without exception. I sometimes even forget I’m wearing them.
Obviously your mileage may vary, but if they sound like they might be your thing, it’s worth giving them a go, especially with the crazy low sales atm

HauntedCupcake@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Andrew Tate ‘raped and strangled us’ - women tell BBCEnglish2·10 months agoThis is the pick yourself up by your bootstraps version of raising a child. You can’t seriously expect a 12 year old to have enough wisdom and initiative to do this? Why do we have this unrealistic expectation that men are super capable and just choose to be failures? It’s the same system that fails everybody else, that’s also failing them

HauntedCupcake@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•16GB of RAM Could Be the New Minimum in Apple's Upcoming M4 MacsEnglish12·10 months agoI own a 8GB MacBook Pro for work, it’s definitely better than a PC with 8GB of RAM, but not better or even close to a PC with 16GB. Just the amount of stutters/freezes while the swap file goes is insane
HauntedCupcake@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•16GB of RAM Could Be the New Minimum in Apple's Upcoming M4 MacsEnglish8·10 months agoThat’s just an APU, see consoles and laptops. The unified memory is basically just the above, but Apple also claims that due to Apple Silicon having the storage controller on board, the swap is magically faster 🤷
Also Mac OS/Linux use less RAM than Windows which certainly helps.
8GB is “fine™” on a MacBook Air, but it’s criminal for a Pro machine, and it certainly should not cost £200 for an extra 8GB. That’s genuinely insane pricing
HauntedCupcake@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•16GB of RAM Could Be the New Minimum in Apple's Upcoming M4 MacsEnglish9·10 months agoIt is 100% a joke. Literally other than Windows being slightly more RAM hungry, there’s not a huge difference between it and Mac’s RAM

It BackfiredEnglish5·10 months agoTotally agree, I interpret it in the same way as saying that people are blowing/fellating you. Not saying that is/isn’t sexist, but it is crude, especially as a public statement from a company. I’m just trying to get the facts straight
HauntedCupcake@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Black Myth: Wukong Devs Told Streamers to Avoid Politics in Their Playthroughs. It BackfiredEnglish16·10 months agoI can’t help but notice that she isn’t disagreeing with the translation. Just that the intention is somewhat disguised behind cultural barriers.
The infamous “I want to expand my circle and hire more people, get licked until can’t get an erection.” she describes as “crude” meaning it isn’t a completely off base translation (which honestly surprised me). It’s clear she has a bias, and is upfront about it, so I think she’s being more forgiving than a Western audience would be if a Western dev said similarly crude things.
I think a lot of the context is helpful, particularly about Chinese devs using female players as part of their own marketing. So “pandering to female players” is more directly associated with exploiting female players.
Clearly the studio has some statements the West would consider iffy, even with cultural context in mind. So the accusations of sexism don’t seem as cut and dry as either side is making it out to be
Women can experience internalised misogyny, you can also internalise your misandry
I know you peeps probably didn’t mean it this way, but men fall victim to the same psychological traps women do. It’s not that easy to just leave a bad relationship, especially if you don’t have the expectations and tools required to identify what’s not normal

For this community yes, but I think the over-dramatising works against the wider acceptance of DEI practices. Most people have never even had an article written about them, those people still have personhood, so does this lady. From that perspective it comes off as entitled and decoupled from reality. Who wants to listen to someone acting unhinged on social media?
Obviously, removing the section is wrong, and we should have these articles to highlight the achievements of women in male dominated fields. Plus highlighting that it’s been removed by the vile actions of the trump administration is important
