  • Is the cat older? My oldest cat couldn’t step up into the litter box anymore so I ended up cutting the front of it so the step over was much smaller. You could also put a brick or build a wooden step which makes it easier for her to step into the box. It has to be heavy and sturdy enough to where it won’t move when the cat steps on it.

Also check that the box is clean. I would dump qll the litter and hit the inside with a hose to make sure it is clean. Dey it, and then refill it with fresh litter. And make sure you scoop out all the poop out of it every day. Cats tends to be very clean animals and don’t like a dirty box.

Another thing to consider is if the box is too small for them. One of our cats is rather large so we had to get a larger litter box for them.

  • I asked that question rhetorically. I was actually going to list a bunch of other questions as well to show how difficult this could turn out being, showing how stupid the idea is. What if one person is 15 miles away but no car, versus someone 40 miles away with a car? Or 2 people are the same distance away but one drives and the other doesn’t? Do they get the same amount? What if someone moves further away… does that mean they get a raise?

  • Is it expensive because it is higher quality, or is it expensive because of marketing BS?

I could absolutely see very expensive ones being the price they are simply because of marketing, but mid-tier brands can be very good. I personally swear by the one that advertises individually wrapped coils (I think Sealy). Have one now and had one before and they are incredibly comfy. I do not think the foam ones are particularly good.

  • Is the door that is being slammed a common door (like in the common hallway) you have access to? If so, install a damper on the door so it slowly closes. The more he pushes, the more it fights him.

If yiu don’t have access to the door, then get anti vibration levelers for your bed. There are lots of different ones. Some go under the existing leveler feet, while others would replace the leveler feet altogether so just make sure the thread is the same size. The rubber that these vibration isolators use varies in hardness. It might take some experimenting but you want a rubber that is soft enough that it compresses some when the weight of the bed and you are on it, but not so soft that it bottoms out.
