I’ve said it many times but publicly traded companies are destroying the world. The fact they have to increase revenue every single year is not sustainable and just leads to employees being underpaid, products that are built cheaper and invasive data collection to offset their previous poor decisions.
The copyright holder is only actually harmed if I would have paid them otherwise. Since I never would have paid for the movie nothing changes for them. Nothing is stollen because they would have no idea someone had a copy unless they check.
Well I voted for Kamala if that makes anyone feel better. It’s just that I’ve been following the plight of the Palestinians for far longer than it’s been popular and I’ve been forced to watch as every single US president has stood at a podium and pledge fealty to Isreal without exception. Joe Biden delayed a single weapons shipment to Isreal one time and it was only delayed by a week. There have been reports that the delay was logistical and the Biden statement was just a political move that simply took political advantage of the delay. Either way, the status quo will guarantee death to the people who need our help the most. I understated what you’re saying when you state Trump is accelerating the destruction. I also understand that the approach to minimize the damage by voting the lesser of two evils will also lead to democracy sliding into fascism. How many times can you ask someone to vote the lesser of two evils when every cycle they find they still only have two evils from witch to choose?
I’ve been the vote blue guy and at this point it’s hard to ignore that voting evils (even if lesser) still continues our slide into evil. Break the system, fix the system or change the system but vote blue no matter who only >SOMETIMES< delays death but it doesn’t ever stop it. Maybe you’re young enough where you haven’t done the same thing over and over but I’m telling you, it never actually changes anything. At least, not for those without power in the middle east.

I personally believe ranked choice voting is the only thing left that could possibly save this country. When only two large powerful organizations control our entire political system things will not go well. On top of that, it encourages team sports mentality where people adopt political positions simply to support their team. Worst yet, it gives these parties too much power to control candidates who stray from the party line. If you’re running as a Democrat and have even one opinion that doesn’t align with the script you’ll be pushed out. Republicans mostly didn’t agree with Trump until he took the party over and used that power to push out anyone who didn’t agree with him. If we had multiple parties it would be a lot harder to stop a candidate who deviated on opinion and that’s the way it should be.
Luckily, Republicans are more than happy to expand the genocide to the West Bank! Critical support for Palestinian genocide! After all, if the Dems aren’t going to solve the problem, why shouldn’t good, upstanding leftists like you vote for Palestinian deaths out of spite?
You’ve got to be a right wing troll. I’ll say it one more time, I very much support saving the Palestinian people but I don’t believe for one second that Chuck Shumer would do anything about their current horrible conditions.
I’ve got to ask, what is your goal in attacking my position? Are you trying to change my mind? Are you trying to convince others to take your position? If yes to either, how effective do you believe your strategy has been? If you really care about the Palestinians then why not try to pull people to your side rather than doing the equivalent to a “thoughts and prayers” post that won’t change anyone’s mind?
That’s the self righteous feeling I was talking about. I hate to tell you this but centrist Democrats were never going to stop Benjamin Netanyahu. I’m half convinced this argument is put out by right wing trolls considering how ridiculous it is. The only real difference would be a possible statement saying they should slow down the killing. Palestinians have been pushed into smaller and smaller spaces throughout isreals existence. Israeli settlers have violently and continuously pushed Palestinians out of their own homes. When has the US actually used its influence to stop Isreal? I’ve seen statements made but considering Isreal absolutely needs the US its odd that no US president from either party has ever tried to stop this. In fact, the only thing I’ve ever heard from any president ever is their declaration of their unwavering support for Isreal.
So no, your silly position is what put Palestinians in the position they’re in, not mine.
Ranked choice voting is the answer. Our team sports mentality is why we support our team even when they’re wrong. Without a team mentality Trump would never have been able to take over the Republican party. With us or against us will be the end of our country.
If you want my vote then stop telling me leftists can’t win. If the lesser of two evils is the best we can hope for then I’ll vote for the cliff with rusted spikes at the bottom. You can attack me over that view but all that will buy you is a self righteous feeling as our bus plunges over the edge.
PS. I’ve reliably voted the lesser of two evils for as long as I can remember and the outcome is that it always gets worse. A slow swing towards a totalitarian society just makes people feel like everything is normal. Especially to younger people who have never seen a better life for average Americans and don’t realize were sliding until its too late. Chuck Shumer isn’t going to stop our slide but like the Trump BBB he may fight to change the name.

That’s because Whirlpool bought up all of the competition. Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, Amana, JenAir, Roper, Kitchenaid etc are all the same company and the competition they didn’t buy has less incentive to produce much better units because now they have to compete with cheaper built machines.
It doesn’t matter where they live. If the US exerts pressure on whatever country the money is in they can and would get that money back. They’re somehow able to freeze the accounts of Russian oligarchs so they’s no reason to believe they couldn’t do it with Bezo as well.
Unless the government wants to buy the data in which case it’s just good capitalism

Most of human civilization has been run by kings, emperor’s and dictators. I see the worlds rich population gaining more control than ever while the possibilities for everyone else is less and less. The lower and lower middle class have become too easily influenced by fake news and propaganda. How do we advance when people can be manipulated to go against their own best interests?
