At my old company I offered to help with the hiring. I said we should make job postings and just see if a great candidate applies.

My CEO told me “oh, we already have some postings. Let me give you the credentials”.

I log in to (BreezyHR). There’s over 2,000 applicants in the last 6 months. Tailored resumes, cover letters, everything. All the effort people put in to applying. Never even acknowledged by someone at the company. Reading the cover letters from people saying it would be such a great fit was kind of sad.

Wartime means taxes from citizens. Private companies offer to help the government for said taxes to help fuel the war machine

I don’t know the context, but it sounds like the person your responding to says the achievements from these women are exaggerated in the meme, and by lying about the value of their contributions you’re discrediting the “women in STEM” movement

All I can think of is the time I had to give up Windows 10 because no matter what I tried, webpages would always take a few seconds to load on first connect. Like if I went to banana.com for the first time, it would take 3-4 seconds. If I went back a week later, it would be instant. But the same computer worked fine on Linux.

Basically my point is, yes your situation is crappy and you can go to Windows. But bugs like these for whatever arcane reason happen on MacOS and Windows too.

I actually keep a Windows dual boot specifically for BFME online play (since BFME only works singleplayer on Linux). It’s been making a comeback recently, there were 51 people online (!!! New record) just this Sunday. We played 3v3s, 4v4s, FFAs, you name it. Was a lot of fun 😄
