I would in principle agree with you, however not about English, mainly because it is now a language of international discourse of any kind, and it thus no longer belongs to the local speakers.

It now has a role Latin had until just a few centuries ago, and extrapolating a bit into the future from that example, will remain quite stable while your dialect, American, Australian, Indian, Jamaican, will change until it becomes another language entirely, no longer mutually intelligible with the other dialects.

If you want to participate in the international dialog however, you will have to learn International, which is now English including the differentiation of the theiy’res, even if your native language is English. Your grand-grandchildren may have to learn English like an Italian in 1800 had to learn Latin if he wanted to join the international discourse.

There are many factors at play.

I share the same sentiment. Grabbed a laptop last week to be able to wfh somewhere else and entertain myself too, and to try if I couldn’t get gaming to work on Linux, and had that feeling of curiosity back about what is new and how everything works. I think your third point is key, one thing Microsoft does very well is backwards compatibility. We run programs from the 90s in production. It is a nightmare of APIs layered upon APIs, but the programs will run.

Nicht OP, aber als Grundlage nimmst Du Cashews, weichst sie so zwei Stunden ein, gibst Zitronensaft, Salz, vielleicht auch etwas geriebene Schale hinein und pürierst mit einem kräftigen Blender, um eine Cashewcreme zu erhalten. Wird es zu fest, mehr Wasser dazugeben.

Für Dönersoße würde ich dann Knoblauch mitpürieren und statt Wasser ein Stück Gurke nehmen, und mit reichlich schwarzem Pfeffer würzen. Vielleicht noch eine Messerspitze Cumin.

Sind, wie so viele vegane Produkte, sowieso schon zu teuer gewesen. Wenn die veganen Ersatzprodukte weiter 2, 3 oder auch mal 5 mal so teuer sind, bleiben sie nur ein Trend, und lässt die vielen Menschen, die preisbewusst einkaufen müssen oder wollen, außen vor. Das geht alles völlig in die falsche Richtung!

Aber es gibt ja Konkurrenz. Die Lidl Eigenmarke ist genauso. Das Problem bei Lidl ist wie immer, ob sie es auch da haben, weil Lidl immer diese wahnsinnigen gemischten Kollies bestellt, bei denen dann immer die Sachen wochenlang liegen bleiben, die keiner haben will. Nachdem die nach 5 Wochen abgelaufen sind, gibt es auch mal für ein paar Tage Pfirsich oder Kirsche, hurra. Denkst, Du bist in der DDR.

What are you guys doing to bottle the sauce? I had a nice fermented batch of peppers, pureed it and put it into bottles, but they all grew mold in the bottles.
