I expected a battle, like on my work Ubuntu laptop with pulse audio, but holy cow… Pipewire ftw.

Unfortunately I still get “The display server protocol that you are using is not supported.” when I set the environment variable. Other ideas?

I do this as well. Easy and inexpensive.
Totally agree. OpenRGB works for me.
Granted, I just turn the “GeForce” light on the GPU off, along with all the other RGB stuff inside the case, but it works. 😁
