3·12 days agoThat’s a shame, because it really doesn’t seem to benefit a game like Alan Wake 2 at all, atmosphere or story-wise, while turning lots of people away.
enjoying jumpscares is probably like enjoying rollercoasters (which i do). the adrenaline burst feels great for some people, and other people hate it. It seems a shame to have lots of them in games where that sort of feeling isn’t the point.
This is one game that makes me wish I enjoyed playing horror games more.

I’m seeing 21.50 from articles in 2020 tying min wage to productivity. Maybe that’s the number basis? Or living wage? A living wage per state adjustment for one adult with one child seems to put lw around 30 in a lot of states, with the single adult needing 13-20.

A three-judge panel on Thursday ruled that Tennessee doctors who provide emergency abortions to protect the life of the mother cannot have their medical licenses revoked or face other disciplinary actions while a lawsuit challenging the state’s sweeping abortion ban continues.

However, the judges also said that because they are a chancery court, they do not have the jurisdiction to block the criminal statute inside the ban — where violators face felony charges carrying a prison sentence as high as 15 years.
This means that while doctors will not face disciplinary actions from the Attorney General’s office and the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners, they could still risk criminal charges under Thursday’s ruling.
