I mean i could see this actually being a good stunt to raise awareness about it. Like use something fake and safe like a time release tablet that makes the drink fizz up suddenly 30 seconds later, or causes the whole thing to turn colour rapidly or something. But i doubt thats whats happening. Might make for a funny party theme with a close group of friends who are all in on it and targeting each other though.

I mean other humans already do this. Satellites are staring at you 24/7, even when youre inside they can theoretically track you with infrared/disruptions to the wifi signal or other epectromagnetic signals, or even using sound waves. I doubt they have the processing power yet to watch everyone all the time but its a safe bet that there are certain humans under constant surveillance by somebody.

We just use the right side of the sink for drying. It has a little plastic grate insert to elevate the dishes and dirty dishes go into the left side, clean into the right, and then theyre dry by the next time you need to do dishes so they get put away. Only time its somewhat of an inconvenience is when i want to fill the brita pitcher and theres no bottom of the sink to rest it on so i have to hold it or place it on the counter and hold the sink hose over it.

Im sure the caveman would be impressed, probably more by the knives than any organizational aspect, but i feel like scholars in the renaissance had plenty of experience this keeping things organized. Thats my point though, its not a good metaphor. Rhyming doesn’t mean ‘two things that are similar but have different surface details’, it means ‘two things that sound the same but have totally separate and unique purpose/meaning’. If anything saying it rhymes would mean its alike on a surface level but different in truth, which is the opposite of the message the quote is trying to convey i think.

I hadnt heard that before but thats a dumb saying. Thats not what rhyming means and history is literally repeating itself. If anything id say “history doesnt repeat itself verbatim but it says the same thing with different synonyms”. Not as punchy i guess but the words ‘door’ and ‘floor’ rhyme and their meanings are completely different whereas the meaning and intention behind these actions are the same thing just with different perpetrators/excuses.

No the character just confirms that an equivalent age of 15 is too young. 21 is just the baseline age they use to do the calculation, because it lines up with 100 years in elf years. But the bartender wouldnt have to do the second part of the calculation at all if the drinking age is 21. It could easily be 16 or 17 and the elf would still be too young.
