i’ve only found k-drama communities on lemmy and it seems like they’re all abandoned. i know several k-fanatics on mastodon, some hardcore c-drama folk and 3 other thai fans. i don’t know if lemmy plays well with the more twitter-like parts of the fediverse but i can introduce you there if you have an account. i think we can DM on here?

Use Piped as a front end for y–t—. It’s open source & non-tracking, but views still count. The creator is active on the fedi too.

Individual servers sometimes go off line or lose quality when they’re rate limited. Just try a different server when that happens. If the one you’re using at the time shows ads and there are too many, check preferences to turn them off.

Like we can also connect dots from known things like FBI agents being killed because Trump leaked documents, his connections with Russia directly and thus Iran, to the possibility that information also leaked which compromised agents acting on Israel’s behalf within Gaza. To be clear, this is also speculation.

But yeah, we can create all sorts of scenarios based on bits of information and our biases and ways of looking at the world. We’ll never know everything which factored in.

My central and autonomic nervous systems. Mine are shite and have been since I was wee. Even a clean reinstall of the original operating system would likely help a ton, but if the open source community could go through the files and find the all the bugs, who knows what I could make of my life. At the very least I’d be able to work again.

My new hobby is watching Asian drama series over the internet. The cliches and conventions are new to me and I like how the series are longer so they can do more than is typical in shorter UK and European ones. They also tend to cover a much broader range of the emotional spectrum and with greater depth. A lot of drama addicts tend to go racing on to the next one but when I stumble into one which puts me in a better head space, I’ll let it linger. So from that, my second current hobby is learning the words (in Mandarin, Korean or Thai) to some of the theme songs. My different approach leaves me feeling like a bit of an outsider in the fan circles but it’s what’s working best for me.

This has been a gey dreich not-summer for gardening here so that feels like more of a albatross than a hobby right now. I listen to opera, traditional musics from around the world and try to read a fair bit too, but just getting through the day takes up so much of my energy it doesn’t happen as much as I’d like. I used to do a lot more things and be a lot more interesting. I miss that.

Back when I had a two bed flat I used to joke about hosting political escapees from the US. Best I can offer now is space in the back garden for a tent. The council insists on calling these cottages “amenities housing”, but that only works if you consider a walk in shower because there isn’t enough room for a tub an amenity [lolsob]

If you can manage a visa though, I’ll be your nana. Can you cook? I gave up on account of the number of pots I was ruining.

Might try a month’s sub to Netflix for some Korean drama this winter. Will keep this in mind if I do. Thanks.

Ad blockers are my best disability accommodation. The things they do with ads to capture attention f with my brain. I’m really going to struggle if this happens. And I’m dependent on the internet for so many things, from groceries to prescriptions to people.

Something with environmentalist and sustainability goals and principles rather than forms of destruction. I don’t want to kill things or chop down trees or blow stuff up. The world is difficult and I am tired.

Sitting at a bus stop near a stop light. Police car stops at the light. My brain’s first reaction is to think we should hijack it. Cause GTA of course.

I didn’t even play that much. It was just a good game to fail at. Spectacularly. Its police cars were especially useful in that regard.
