EA is doing with Battlefield what Activision is doing with CoD, the difference being that CoD is actually succeeding.
Too bad Battlebit Remastered isn’t on console, it’s very good.
I was on reddit once, but now I’m not.
I’m also gk99@kbin.social and gk99@mastodon.world

Considering this is a temporary measure, I imagine not. Lemmy.world has been under constant attacks as the #1 Lemmy instance and it’s not going to stop just because bots can’t get in automatically anymore.
How am I supposed to sleep at night when my computer’s acting like it’s at a rave?
…Turn it off?
About time tbh. You can play pretty much the entire Doom franchise on modern consoles, but Quake’s older catalogue is limited to the original and don’t even get me started on Wolfenstein.
The people who develop lemmy get paid to do so, as stated by iirc Dessalines themselves.
I would put donating to those running instances at the highest priority, because without servers, we have nothing.
Yakuza 6 followed by Judgment and various Doom games (the original, 64, and Eternal to be exact).
If anything, it teaches self-hate with demands that you not have basic neurological and biological impulses. My questioning began with “how the fuck am I supposed to not covet?”
I learned self-love from antidepressants and my atheist wife after growing up Christian.
Tbh I’ve already given up on Square Enix games. I liked FFXV, my first in the series, but then there was so much bullshit surrounding FFVII Remake and Integrade that I decided it wasn’t worth getting properly invested in the franchise going forward. Here we are at FFXVI, and it’s already retreading the same ground.
Pretty much the same situation as Vanguard, Sledgehammer is getting screwed with not nearly enough time. I expect it to be pretty rough at launch tbh, gonna probably pick it up with a discount a few seasons in.

If you’d like a PS5 community on a less popular instance, feel free to create one and advertise it to build a userbase.
I, personally, believe communities should be hosted in places with staying power so that they never evaporate into thin air. If an instance I’m signed up for disappears, fine, I can make a new account. If an instance a community is on disappears, that’s way more problematic.
There’s not really any excuse for a Microsoft-owned game to not be Xbox Play Anywhere. If they’re going to make it exclusive, we damn well better get the benefits that are supposed to come with the platform.
Maybe if Valve could work out shipping them to other regions officially we’d see more growth. I still see people lamenting that they can’t buy a Deck without going to some sketchy third-party and overpaying.
No, federation means we all see the same content regardless of which site we sign up on with the exception of sites that yours may block.
But be wary that lemmy.ml is a tankie instance and the “.ml” stands for Marxism-Leninism. I generally avoid lemmy.ml communities so I don’t get banned for saying “the uyghur genocide is a real thing” or anything.
Nope, Spider-Man 2 is the first thing I’m planning on getting super into in a while. I reinstalled Cyberpunk last night and picked up my save from 3 years ago, but I don’t know if finishing it is much of a priority for me right now so much as just having fun.
