Loneliness is the buzzword, but the article specifically mentions
… poverty, loneliness, and abandonment as reasons for resorting to crime.
I do think capitalism exacerbates loneliness, but on the other points this also indicates to me that they’re missing a social safety net that prison is providing. That’s a gap in service.
One could imagine a co-op being started for people like this. Even from purely pragmatic terms, it would cost less than housing them in a prison.
Get yourself some psyllium husk fiber (I mix it with peanut butter and put it on my cereal) and wait until work to drink your morning coffee.
Even if something you actually need is only on Bezos’ website, I’ve had some luck contacting a seller directly and arranging a sale that way.
Also EQ test and psychopathy test

Omg thank you for sharing. I think you’re good re doxxing, the only one that looked iffy was that Ars Technica URL, and I did a thorough check and couldn’t find any PII or credentials leaking.
My own feed is pretty pathetic (had to reinstall OS and ofc didn’t back up the past 5 years):

I also don’ think I’m following Wikipedia correctly. I don’t think I’ve ever managed to figure it out :/
Good job. I haven’t in years, and can say small though my part is, it’s worth the minor inconvenience
I’d love to take a look at what other people are following and what they like about it. My own followed are kind of random.
Maybe this is one of those Qs a simple web search can answer…
Same! It was two groups and I didn’t actually have to convince anyone. It turned out we all had Signal all along, but were binding eachother to stay on WhatsApp, I dunno, through some weird ass inertia I guess.
Mods!! This one, right here. Thanks
Agreed that hope is Defiant (pun intended), but disagree with assertion that replicators are the backbone of post-scarcity (yes I know it’s a work of fiction by many writers, but hear me out).
Under capitalism the invention of replicators would just lead to the introduction of artificial scarcity, in order to maintain the current power structures. We know this because everywhere in the world already exists the technology for all to have plenty, yet somehow these obvious needs aren’t met.
In a nutshell: tech won’t save us.
It is kind of a hopeful message isn’t it?
If we can get enough coops going we could even shut out partner business that don’t have democratic workplaces.
Truly no justice but what we make if a tottering pile of wet shit like this get blessed by our lord with such a meaty pair of nips.
You erred. Communication is two-way. It’s okay, I err sometimes. It happens. Pedantry isn’t the answer.
Welcome!
Don’t be afraid to experiment relentlessly. Even if you break your OS, that’s just more experience fixing or reinstalling it. Also back up your important files locally and remotely.
Kinnnda, but if you treat it like lettuce you’ll be disappointed. It’s a lot chewier. Think of it as in between lettuce and cabbage. Unless you’re just bunging it in a soup you probably have to do a little more work on it.
I like to “massage” when eating eating raw. That’s where you strip the leaves off the stalks and vigorously kneed and scrunch those up with your hands until they’re soft to the touch.
Then you can throw in whatever dressing you like. Toasted sunflower seeds and dried cranberries are good at this stage, to really emphasise the toothiness of kale.
It’s also kinda like spinach come to think of it. A lot of the same tricks work on it.
