That’s awesome. Almost looks like fan art, but IMO has more charm than CGI

That’s refreshing to see in a world of ever increasing enshittification. Wish more companies move in this direction.
Medium roast (full city) beans from the Philippines either via Chemex, AeroPress, or if it’s warm out I’ll brew some ice coffee overnight.
Use libro.fm instead and part of your subscription goes to an independent bookstore of your choosing
This is what I try to tell people who just want the cheapest things possible. We’re voting with our dollars what kind of world we want.
Also, shipping things across the sea burns some of the worst fuel for the environment so I’d rather buy things made here and support the local economy whenever possible.
MSFT has a $3T market cap and $60B of free cash flow each year, so I doubt they’re hurting for money. This is how “growth at all costs” incentivizes myopic decision-making and doesn’t really help foster an environment where studios are willing to take creative risks. Even when they succeed (a la Hi-Fi Rush) they’re on the perpetual chopping block.
“The layoffs will continue until morale improves”
$6.4B for HashiCorp on the heels of $4.6B for Apptio and $34B for Red Hat back in 2018. I wonder how long until they expect each of these acquisitions to be accretive?
Oat milk is the best alternative I’ve found. Most places offer it so I switched to oat milk lattes and haven’t gone back.
If brewing at home, there are barista versions made specifically for coffee, but the original works too.
Recently moved over to porkbun after dealing with a couple billing issues with namecheap and not getting the best customer service. Been pretty happy so far.
They also recently won a deal with Rakuten Mobile to supply RAN equipment in Japan
100%. Seems like phones continually get worse under the guise of “progress”. No more headphone jack or removable battery, more bloated software, anti-privacy assistants/AI. Switched to a Sony Xperia for the headphone jack alone and it’s been great, I hope they don’t follow this AI trend or else I’m out.
The one dealership that didn’t have a markup near us sold out immediately and we ended paying a slight markup at another place, but after all the incentives and trade-in it was a steal.
We love our EUV, I don’t think I’ll go back to an ICE car after seeing how convenient home charging is and one-pedal driving is great.
That’s a bummer. Was interested to see what a Honda EV with ultium cells would be like. A sub-$30k EV is what a lot of people are looking for, judging from my experience buying a Bolt. Hope they can figure out the unit-economics
I’m glad you guys took a measured approach. This right here is the difference between a corporation and Lemmy. I can’t imagine a for-profit reversing its decision in the interest of the community unless it affected their bottom line or stock price. Hats off to the admin team for working through all these complex issues.
Not surprising. Everyone should be wary of what they share online and not expect that companies will respect their privacy. That said, I wish it weren’t so and training AI with our data seems dystopian
I once heard vim described as “letting you type at the speed of thought” and I’ve found that to be true. Besides being productive, I prefer it when I’m on my laptop since it let’s me not have to move my hands to use the track pad, which may help prevent RSI.
It physically fits but isn’t very stable. The Chemex’s glass is also a bit thin so I might hesitate pushing down hard on it since might put stress on it. I’d probably brew into a mug and dump the coffee into the Chemex if you want to serve it in that.
Good reminder to do this for my personal sites. Wonder if they’re scraping the fediverse for data to train on now that reddit started to clamp down on its API
Same, the physical camera button and 3.5mm headphone jack on the Xperia are awesome
