  • The only single player ones I’ve ever played have been 1 and 7. 1 was…old. The mechanics and everything remind me of Dragon Warrior but I kind of honestly just prefer Dragon Warrior (although I guess that one is also nostalgic because I remember watching my dad play it as a kid).

7 is much more modern but still pretty old at this point. It has a good story and interesting characters. It’s been a while and I don’t remember what the actual gameplay was like but I don’t remember it being turn based.

I’ve also watched my BF play quite a bit of Final Fantasy Tactics and that’s just what it sounds like, a very tactical turn based game. Not for me but some people really like that style of game so that’s something to look into if it appeals to what you’re looking for.

I also played a little bit of Final Fantasy 14 online and it was fun, although not the styles of MMO I personally prefer. But again it’s all personal preference and if you like MMOs you should look it up because you might want to consider that instead of one of the single player games.

  • A lot of ultra processed foods are also ultra palatable foods so they’re high in fat, sugar and salt and very hard to stop eating. They’re also calorie dense so you eat past the point where you might become full with less calorie dense foods. I read this article earlier today and really liked it except that I thought the author went a little light on the judgement against this type of food manufacturing. Yes, we really do live in a world where it can be hard to both find and prepare “real” food, but the consequences of a western or specifically American diet have proven to be pretty intense.

  • I meal prep on Sunday but I’m also ok with eating the same thing 4 or 5 days in a row. If you aren’t ok with that then meal prepping is going to be a lot more work. I also strongly suggest making extra and freezing some in individual portions so if you do run out of food, or just really aren’t digging what you made, you can grab something out of elthe freezer.

And let’s not underestimate the power of making your own frozen junk food. Like frozen burritos? Make a pile of burritos (which is great because you can put exactly what you like and make them healthier) then wrap them individually in tin foil and freeze. Make a frozen pizza in a square casserole dish and freeze pieces. Lasagna also freezes really well. It’s a lot of work up front but it will keep for months so you have something easy to grab when you want it.

You can also precut things like vegetables if you will want to eat veggies later in the week, or if you’ll want to cook something fresh later but know you won’t do it if you have to spend a lot of time on it.

  • I’ve never eaten a peanut or peanut butter that I thought tasted bitter, and it definitely wouldn’t go rancid after 1 day, although if it’s the kind of PB with oil on top you should refrigerate it after you open it. But is it possible it was old, expired and already rancid when you bought it? If most people don’t eat peanut butter where you are, it could have sat on the shelf for a long time and went bad.

If you didn’t like it then there’s no reason to torture yourself by trying to like it, but if you do want to try again, get another brand and see if you still think it’s bitter. Make sure to check the date on it too to make sure it’s fresh. That just doesn’t sound right so it sounds like something was wrong with that jar. I’m saying this as someone who has eaten a lot of different kinds of peanut butter and liked them all lol ;)

  • It depends what kind of peanut butter. Anything labeled ‘natural’ should not have any sugar added and should literally just be peanuts and salt. It should have a layer of oil on top that you have to stir in. If the peanut butter is not labeled ‘natural’ or does not have a layer of oil on top it’s pretty much guaranteed to have a lot of sugar added. The kind with sugar is much more common.
