I’m assuming that by “the idea of abortion” what you really mean is that you’re not a fan of killing babies, which is not what abortions are doing.

And if that’s not what you mean then I ask that you clarify what it is you do mean since, sure, you make decent points here but it’s important that everyone understands what an abortion is and what is being aborted, which is almost never a living baby.

If I’m being honest, someone who says they don’t like the idea of abortion sounds like someone who doesn’t know much at all about what one is or what it’s removing. Or someone who thinks abortions are for sluts who go out fucking everyone and getting pregnant and just aborting 3rd trimester babies bc they’re sluts (I will clarify here that I also don’t see a problem with female promiscuity resulting in abortion either)

Yeah there was a whole thing about it at the time, it made news and was credible. The fix for it being of course to double check your ballot before you cast, which could easily be a miss by a first time voter or maybe an elderly one.

My comment was in reference to the fact that Ted Cruz is a moron, and that we came really close to getting him out, but I do think there were some shenanigans with voting. Just the other way.

We tried voting him out, we really did. Coincidentally, he beat Beto by a very small margin while there was a small percentage of voting machines that reportedly flipped votes for Beto (I think they would flip them to Cruz, and if you didn’t double check all your votes before casting them, then a Beto voter could have inadvertently voted Cruz)

What? This is completely wrong. HOAs do not maintain your home for you, that’s wild that you think that’s the reason for HOAs. I live in an HOA and they don’t do anything besides make sure everyone’s house is presentable (like no missing fence pickets) and upkeep the HOA center + pool.

The issue I had with using it for code is that the scrolling in the video seemed pretty bad, which is pretty essential for it. Would love an e ink monitor dedicated to code/terminals, so I’ll be waiting to grab one when the frame rate’s a bit better. Also, in some of the footage of them writing in Word looks like there’s a decent amount of burn-in. I’d do it for $2k today if it had better frame rate for scrolling/typing and much less burn-in.

I think the idea I was referencing when I mentioned evolution not being observable in one’s lifetime is actually better stated as:

Evolution cannot be observed in the lifetime of an individual of the species in question. I.E. A HIV “cell” won’t live to see the evolved, drug-resistant ones down the line

Bit of a nitpick, but adaptation is not evolution. I was about to say that you cannot observe capital E Evolution in your own lifetime but then I remembered stuff on the bacterial scale that reproduces at break neck pace and is absolutely observable. HIV is one of these examples.
