Agreed, especially for gaming PC. On laptops and generic PC I think there could be a bigger swing, but also you’d need a USB port capable of pushing 30w which is not a standard feature by any means in a PC/laptop.

Counter point. Most computer power supplies have a curve to their charging efficiency (somewhere north of 50% load). If your PC is substantially below the peak of that curve, then adding load (the phone) could raise the PSU’s efficiency say from 80 to 85% (I’m making up numbers) which would affect the overall efficiency of the entire PC’s load.

I think your answer is still probably correct, but it’s an interesting nuance to think about.

Side notes: Some PSU’s use gallium, e.g., Corsair ax1600i, though by and large most do not. Also if your in the EU then your working with 220/240v PSU’s which adds more efficiency, but that would apply to the phone charger as well.

In oatmilk the sugar and oil are optional ingredients for taste and texture. Almost all oatmilk brands contain salt for taste.

I’ve only found one brand that uses three ingredients, oat water salt. They charge a premium for it, but it’s the best tasting one I’ve found.

The dye is derived from coal tar. Granted that is not its final form, but I can see where the crunchy moms you describe have some reservations. I can understand the preference for a dye that is derived from a source that is not a known carcinogen to rule out any ambiguity in the refinement process.

As a Model 3 owner of 5 years, it’s really a non issue, in my opinion. All the basic controls you need while in motion are on the steering wheel. The touchscreen is responsive and intuitive.

A pull string is typically vacuumed though the conduit and left inside for attaching to and pulling wires through.

There’s a lot of disinformation on EV’s. I drove an ICE until 2018 when I felt EV technology, longevity, and charging infrastructure was ready, I got a model 3. This was still on the early adoption side and my circle of people expected the car to self combust. Even to this day people I am still educating people in my circle. You’d think 4 years of driving and 50k miles might change opinions, but I still get asked how much does the battery cost to replace. Which is the equivalent of an engine seizing in an ICE. It’s not going to happen except in rare instances. Realistically the battery will last the life of the car for me. Maybe it will finally click for people when I’ve been driving it for 10, 15 years. I think for others gas prices will need to squeeze their wallet before reality sets in. I support this bill, even if its grasping at straws, it’s a step in the right direction. But a lot of consumer education needs to happen between now and then.

Not that I’m aware of. Unless your referring to a mobile app. They do have that for other fidelity functions but you can just access full view from a mobile web browser and it’s responsive.

I moved to Fidelity full view awhile back. Close enough, maybe a few less features but they’re account syncing send to be a bit more reliable.

Curious, I see most people complaining about this merger, but I have also seen the argument that there are too many streaming services with exclusive content. Wouldn’t this acquisition work towards consolidating content again under one subscription. Similar to how Netflix used to be the main player in the space before competition came along.

Outside of initial provisioning/firmware updates. This server should only need to reboot once a month for OS/firmware security updates and maintenance. Maybe less/more depending on your organizations security posture. OP said they’re running VM’s so I don’t understand the concern with the boot time. Once you provision the host you don’t really tinker with any setting unless your adding hardware to updating firmware/os.

If the boot time is really that big a deal, get a second host and setup replication/vmotion with your VM’s to eliminate the host boot time from affecting your uptime entirely.

Those are indestructible and still being made today. I have one from the 1970’s that works exactly the same as one made in the 2010’s.
