I’ll be playing through Risk of Rain Returns, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and my backlog of visual novels. The deck has become my main gaming machine now.

It feels too early for a new Steam Deck, I would think that would take another 2 or 3 years. I would love something like a standalone VR though, but VR on linux is not in the best shape yet so I’m not sure how that would go.
Whichever works best for you. I would recommend Wayland to anyone, but if you run into any problems with it (either bugs with your compositor or protocol limitations), then just use X11.
foot is great. Simple, fast, and customisable enough for my needs.
Surprised that it still had Denuvo up until now. I’m pretty sure they accidentally released a Denuvo-free executable on the day the game launched so the game was pretty much cracked instantly.
I doubt Denuvo helped their initial sales at all. Doom Eternal is a good game and that’s what actually makes them money, not stopping the pirates out there.
Any roguelikes you like. Though my picks for games would be Vampire Survivors, Slay the Spire, Dead Cells, and risk of rain 2.
