Although Massachusetts legalized marijuana more than seven years ago, the state’s Cannabis Control Commission has taken the position that transporting pot across the ocean risks running afoul of federal laws.
I agree that the technicality of the law is stupid, but I also feel like if you want to live on a high-priced island, expect to go to the mainland for a lot of stuff, not just cannabis. It just doesn’t bother me much compared to other legality issues. If somehow a new federal law was passed saying it was legal except for going across the ocean, I’d honestly be fine with that.
