“You can’t intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.”

Who have I been harassing? What the hell mods?

    Several things to remember.

    1. Each instance has it’s own moderation rules.
    2. Each community on that instance has potentially extra moderation rules.
    3. There is no “central” admin who “polices” this.
    4. People make mistakes.
    5. People are people.
    6. Don’t agree, start your own instance.

Just judging from your deleted post title it should be quite obvious. Do you need to an explaination of the what the words “to annoy” or “to mock” mean?

Your post is the online equivalent of walking into a room and saying:

“Hey morons! Are any of you smart enough to have a conversation that will make me feel superior to the rest of you bumblefucks? There were a few people at the last place I visited that also enjoyed that kind of conversation, but I doubt any of you could handle it.”

In answer to the post that was removed, finding places to discuss ideas is not something that you are alone in. I find myself on that same quest on a regular basis and find answers seriously lacking.

I love encouraging and providing supportive responses to posts that come my way, but rarely do I discover places to share and test ideas.

Having been online for a long time, I think some of it relates to difficulty in expressing ideas in text succinctly and as a result conversation often degenerates into misunderstanding and (for want of a better expression) name calling.

I don’t curate my feed or subscribe to communities, other than to filter hate speech and its distributors.

Feel free to ping me, and if I have something to contribute, I will. Public conversation only.
