What kind of person self-identifies as a bigot and doesn’t think that maybe they’re being an objectively bad person?

The kind who is keenly aware that they would never behave like this if they didn’t have other people supporting them. Overwhelmingly fascists and bigots are cowards who rely on others.

The type of person who is trying to “reclaim” it, and wants to wear it as a badge of honour.

The same people who starting calling themselves with the deplorable, or the Trukkker convoy people who put stickers on their jacked up trucks that say “part of a fringe minority with unacceptable views”

Why do they need to report that? No harm is done by being a trans person, it’s not contagious or dangerous. It’s a realization and decision made after years of therapy; no one needs to report to parents nor do parents have a right to know.

You guys don’t go up to all your kids’ teachers and say “nice to meet you, please show me your genitals”?

edit: to be clear, this is not something you should say to any human. Stop worrying about what’s in people’s pants or on their birth certificate

ROFL If I had kids, I’d only care about a teacher’s ability to teach! Personal life is separate from work, if a teacher can connect to children and inspire a want to learn-IDGAF about anything else. Well, as long as they’re not a bigot or facist, that matters.

Hey, you could be trans. Please submit a photo of your genitals for identification as well as your address and workplace.

Because that is reasonable, right? It is my right to know about your genitals.

^what my response would be if I thought like you.

      You are gross.

Not really. The efficacy of a teacher is not dependent on their gender. Providing that information does nothing for anyone, and no one “deserves” that information.

deserve to be informed? why? why do you even give a shit? I’ve never informed by parents about the genders or sexuality of my teachers and never thought it was relevant. they didn’t even know which ones were men or women. why are you so concerned with genitals dude? get help.

With that logic, parents should be informed about the teacher’s religion too! Wouldn’t want some strict <insert random religion with ineffective methods regarding unwanted pregnancies> teaching sex ed!

After the nazi’s made good use of the registration system in the Netherlands, it became illegal to ask certain questions regarding background, sexuality and religion. Not on a professional level such as by recruiters. Only exceptions are medical situations. This level of privacy should be implemented everywhere.

Why are they hiding that they have genital herpes? Don’t parents deserve to be informed?

Has the exact same relevance as what you said.
