Denis Villeneuve maintains that "Dune 3" will be his final "Dune" movie, but he's open for other directors to keep the franchise going.

The end of Dune Messiah as the end of Paul’s story is a good place to stop.

I really really hope someone picks up Children of Dune and God Emperor of Dune as a follow up set of films.
