The last time they tried something new, we got metal Gear survive. I think a company like Konami that lost its creative driving forces needs to relearn how to walk before trying to run.

They took a beautiful engine all about well designed stealth and shoehorned a zombie survival game with mechanics basically unchanged. It was definitely different.

          Not good, but different.

People say that, then shit on anything original studios do. Meanwhile the classics remade are flying off the shelves.

Yeah but are they the same people?

Those of us thirsting for more new stuff and a lick of sense, aren’t exactly the ones going with the safe option over and over when buying our games.

Didn’t they say they wanted to shut down the games division and focus entirely on friggin pachinko machines back when MGS5 was maybe a year old (and they had released a MGS3 themed pachinko machine with the cutscenes all being updated to be on the FOX engine)?

Whatever happened with that? I kinda wish they would just go do that.

I enjoyed FF7 and this is another good candidate for the same treatment.
