  • Another two here cast for Allred today!

Honestly, while I’m watching the Presidential election with bated breath along with everyone else, I’m more invested in Ted Cruz and those 3 fuckwad Republican State Justices who are up for re election as well!

Fuck you Cruz, Blacklock, Bland, and Devine! LFG Allred, Weems, Jones, and Goldstein! Uproot those fascist fucks!

  • I’m AFAB, cisgendered/feminine af, and I’ve used so many all-gendered bathrooms. With men. “Manly men”, even! They were going pee in a urinal while I was peeing in a stall! At the same time! (This was on a very LGBTQ+ friendly cruise at the time, and only one bathroom on each floor had gender designations for those who really couldnt wrap their minds around the concept). Additionally, in the hipster areas of my major metro area, a lot of the cool bars/restaurants are all gendered as well!

Guess how many times Ive been raped/assaulted/harassed in a bathroom? Guess, Texas? Ill give you a hint: It was zero. Zero times.

    Fuck, I hate this state.

  • No one is advocating for abortions at 8 months unless the women’s (or fetus’) life is in some kind of danger.

Why on earth would a woman put up with the absolute hell that is pregnancy for 8 months, and then just wake up one day and decide “Meh, nvm, Im not actually all that into it” completely unprompted?

It makes no sense and it doesn’t happen. At 8 months, numerous appointments have happened, a nursery of some kind has been put together, baby showers have been had, names have been picked out, vices of all kinds have been foregone (not just alcohol/smoking, modern women give up stuff like lunchmeats/fish/coffee) etc.

If a woman is getting an abortion at 8 months, something went very fucking wrong, and it’s a tragedy all around, so we shouldn’t add the stress of navigating legislation on top of all that.

  • Actually thats HELLA good to know. I havent really settled on anything yet since I’m still active duty/getting through my masters degree, and I’ve got about 4 years to retirement, but that is going to be a huge influence.

My buddy actually moved out to St Paul, and he says he’s about 40 mins from Wisconsin’s border. He’s the one who gave me the idea because he’s been begging my husband and I to move out there, as he’s very Lefty and loves it, and he thinks we would too. I don’t disagree with him, I was just in tunnel vision with my literal personal crusade, until he mentioned how close he was to the Wisconsin border. I was like “Oh I could definitely be a Public Defender there then!”

Thank you so much for the information!
