It’s all about supply and demand, and the customers have demanded smarter TVs. In this way capitalism drives innovation. Who knows, a couple years from now TVs will likely be twice or three times as smart as they are now!
Sometimes a big company has to stagnate for a while for the innovation to manifest over time. Big government regulations like this don’t give them that chance.

Everybody loved him when he was saving humanity by inventing the electric car and bringing humans to mars but he makes one wartime decision to avert nuclear war and everybody turns on him. It just goes to show that our lazy society doesn’t value job creators and innovators.

One of my tenants once was causing me a lot of issues (cooking stinky spicy food in the unit after I told him to stop), so I sprinkled some drugs around his apartment and then alerted the police. It was much easier to evict the problematic tenant that way and I was able to keep the security deposit as well.
One more reason I’m proud to be an American, where our tech companies have no ties or connections to the government.
Most of my tenants wish they could buy. I always tell them they should just work harder and get good at capitalism.
