I would say the level of contempt would be much less though.
I never used tumblr personally but I know I would see screenshots of it all the time elsewhere. I also don’t view them as a huge corp that’s done anything particularly insidious

I’ve only blocked all the trans ones that pop up cause I just am not interested in that frankly.
Other than that, I scroll past the odd post but they’re blurred so it’s really not an issue to me. I can click it if I want and I’m not in a place I shouldn’t be
That headline really buries the lede
If you use google assistant to set reminders you now use tasks.
I only know this because I heavily use reminders, and my pixel 5 kept annoying me to tell me reminders are being converted to tasks and will live there now
Assuming this refers to essentially processed cheese like kraft singles.
9/10 times a different cheese will taste much better and texturally if you’re using a good melting point cheese for the use case better there as well.
That said, this style of cheese excels and is really only tolerable in HOT food. It needs to be melted. Its nasty pre-melt and its nasty post-melt. But while melted, it’s good.
A grilled cheese with real and stringy cheeses is great. But sometimes a grilled cheese with 2 kraft singles is what you crave.
Not quite the same as described but weirdly as a kid this was thee menu item I always wanted from A&W
Oh were they referring to praise hands? I thought they meant 🙋
Your link is broken, unfortunately the last ‘):’ was appended to the link
200 is probably the most common status no? Many successful responses will give 200 in the backend
This just made me envision scrolling through jerboa, then boom the colour rave starts and now I know there is an imposter among us…
Interesting, I enjoyed Arrowhead a lot last time I camped there so its noce to see they’ll have another park in that area.
Though I feel when they get it open, the bookings will be hard to get due to modern facilities compared to other grounds
For others…
If you’re Canadian lemmy.ca has also been great. There is an application but I was approved in less than 4 hours answering the 4 simple questions.
They’ve also recently rejigged the administration and just upgraded to a brand spanking fast server this canada day
Funnily enough seems everyone is coming at this from the wrong angle personally. I don’t give af who I’m talking to sure, and I can confirm the instance if I must by clicking into their profile.
That said, I more so care about someone pretending to be me in an active thread. Like an active discussion or argument and someone decides to recreate your user on a different instanceand start inserting comments that confuse the discussion.
Or maybe you’ve stopped commenting, then someone else continues the conversation unbeknownst to you in your name.
That article really just convinces me more that the cancel canada day movement is naive and misguided.
Don’t take and sully our national day. Instead choose to enrich and improve it by making it more. There is room for both national pride on our Country and acknowledgement of past crimes.
Respectfully, fuck off.
I only use fare height when forced through the means of technology that for some reason hasn’t been legislated to provide sane units mandatorily when sold in Canada
The exceptions to this would be lumber. Then occasionally I get pissed off at any Canadian company (or even government form) that refuses to follow our own standards. For instance federally, its recemmoneded to use YYYY-MM-DD unless you’re writing out the month with three letters or more in which case you can use the insane states method. Yet consistently in forms I input the date wrong cause they do whatever that other format is
