Beg? Or am I misunderstanding this?
It’s like one of those bags you always use for groceries instead of a disposable one.
Or all the backpacks that will supposedly last your entire life. The companies that actually mean it have them under warranty for several decades though (or even until the actual end of your life but it requires some form of registration)
Step 1: Garuntee a product for life or full refund.
Step 2: Cease business and start a different company.
I think the joke is that if this bag falls apart, which was supposed to last a lifetime, that it must mean your life is near its end, as though the life of the bag and your own are intertwined.
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !buyitforlife@lemmy.world
Voyager finally works with both, good to know!
This is a little too coincidental…
This morning I woke up with sinus infection and my pack decided to self destruct…
Either I’m in the matrix or I’m gonna need some thoughts, likes, and prayers ASAP… Trying to find another one online quickly before my time runs out!

I’ve had the same bag since 2018, I got it for school. Since then I’ve taken it all over the country many times and currently it’s still one of the only items I have from my “old life” after I had to move 2 years ago and lost most everything else. It’s also been discontinued. If anything happens to it I will genuinely be as heartbroken as losing a friend.
I have a shitty Target duffel bag that’s been with me on so many adventures. It’s falling apart, but I refuse to let it go, precisely because it’s been with me on so many adventures. That also explains the several pairs of shoes with holes in them I can’t bring myself to throw out.
Thankfully your body is a mere cocoon preparing your soul for eternity in the afterlife.
Wouldn’t that be nice!
Depends on the afterlife.
