I prefer root canals as a comparison.
Some people don’t brush their teeth well or often, or eat a bunch of sweets, and need root canals. It may be that they could have taken action to prevent it by exercising good oral hygeine, but they aren’t out there getting root canals for fun.

And absolutely nobody is trying to restrict access to root canals because some people don’t brush well, or gasp had more than one root canal. It could also be argued that she means “miscarriages” if her body is sending the souls of unborn children back to God.
I think it’s more likely miscarriages than abortions. I don’t see why she’d be upset about accidentally getting pregnant. At some point you’d have to blame yourself if really happened that. Or you’re being abused a ton and need to get out that situation.
